"2000 years of Christianity by childrens eyes"

The year two thousand is a very important event in the christian world.
Two christian branches: catholicism and orthodoxy celebrate this great date.
The whole world honour the date of the birth of Christ and glorifies his
mission on the Earth. The Club BPW of St.Petersburg and Moscow join
these festivities and would like to contribute to this noble deed.
These Clubs would like to contribute to the celebration of the anniversary of Christianity by an international action "2000 years of Christianity by children's eyes".

Purposes and tasks

Purpose: strengthening of
understanding and friendship between the children of different
christian branches, respect for other faith.
Tasks:
- to express a deep understanding by children of human universal
values by means of art;
- to acquaint the participants of action with the achievements
of their foreign contemporaries;
- to acquaint the participants with with masterpieces of
catholic and orthodox music;
- support of professional and social activity of women-governers
in children organisations;
- exchange of experience and creative achievments between governers
of children organisations of Russia and European countries;
- strengthening of international contacts of art organisations.

Dates and contents of stages of the project

Dates of the projecct: august - desember 2000
Stage 1 - preparatory (june - septembre)
On this stage the selection of participants of the project (Children creative
formations) which are deserving to present their country in this action is held.
Working out and agreement of the program of the action according to participants.
Affirmation of a program.
Stage 2 - search of financing (october - november)
Treatment of the project in mass media of the cities-participant, a search of
sponsors, the work with them. Working out of advertising actions for sponsors
(round tables, contacts with businessmen ets.).
Stage 3 - execution of action (desember)
The fulfilment of an agreed program. Metings, round tables, exchange of experience
in work with children formations. Performances of children formations in Moscow,
St.Petersburg and in the cities of European countries and organisation of
exhibitions of children drawings on the topic of the international action.
Stage 4 - analysis of the resualts of the action
The treatment of the results of the action in the press. The composition of an
account on the action and its placing on the site in Internet.

We propose the Clubs BPW in European
countries to join this program if the Clubs are ready to render moral and financial
assistence of this action. Children are our future. How they will cooperate with
one another tomorrow depends on us today.
Art ignores frontiers, its language doesn't need to be translated. This is the
best way of finding contacts, the unique chance to understand one another.
If you are ready to receiv our children, we will wont for
your propositions.
